Q) What questions should I ask the Bankers Hill Insurance agent to ensure I get the right plan for my needs?

Ask these questions to find the best plan:

• What kind of a plan is this - Mutual Care or Indemnity Plan?
• What is my annual out-of-pocket expense?
• Is there a co-pay for doctors visits and specialists? If so, what is it?
• Does this plan include dental, vision care, and other special services?
• Are my current doctors covered on this plan?
• Are preventative or routine exams covered?
• Does the plan cover pre-existing conditions? If not, what’s excluded?

Q) When can I enroll in an individual Health Insurance Plan?

During the Open Enrollment period from November 1st through December 15th. Some states have permanently extended their Open Enrollment periods, please check your state’s O.E. periods for additional insight.

Q) What is the Special Enrollment Period?

If you have a QLE (Qualifying Life Event) you are granted a 60-day window to enroll in a plan. Please reference HealthCare.gov for a complete list of Qualifying Life Events.
